Raising the Bar Conference 2011 - Call for Volunteers!
Are you planning to attend this year’s conference? Why not
consider volunteering as well? Volunteers are a crucial component of making our conference a success by meeting and greeting attendees, assisting
workshop/session speakers and managing busy information and resource
areas.
Volunteer for a four hour shift and attend that day for free!
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Registration/Greeters: Volunteers needed to check-in
attendees and distribute conference materials (name badges, conference folders, etc.).
- Photographers: Volunteer photographers are
needed for multiple sessions in order to help capture the spirit of the
conference. Volunteers must provide their own equipment.
- Room Monitor: One volunteer is needed for each breakout session. Room monitors check with the Volunteer Desk before a
workshop/session begins to confirm the status of the speaker. Room
monitors also welcome the speaker(s) when they arrive, ensure room
arrangements and speaker's AV requirements are met and inform the
audience how to obtain handouts. At the conclusion of the presentation,
room monitors thank speaker(s), remind the audience to complete their
evaluation forms and return the collected/completed evaluation forms to
the Volunteer Desk.
